Acti puts AI agents directly into your smartphone keyboard

Startup Acti is betting that the smartphone keyboard is the next frontier for AI assistants. On June 30, the company launched a new keyboard app for iOS and Android that embeds AI agents directly into the user's typing interface.

According to TechCrunch, the AI keyboard works across different applications, allowing users to create custom AI-powered shortcuts using natural language — no coding required.

Acti's approach brings AI agents to where users' fingers already are: the keyboard. This design lowers the friction of using AI agents, enabling users to invoke AI capabilities during everyday activities like chatting, writing emails, and taking notes, without having to switch to a dedicated AI app.
