Beijing highlights AI-industry integration through model-data initiatives

Beijing hosted an artificial-intelligence integration forum during the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference, according to People’s Daily Beijing channel.

The forum showcased local efforts to connect AI models, data resources, and practical industrial applications. One focus was the “model-data resonance” initiative, which aims to make data and models reinforce each other in real industry scenarios.

The emphasis is shifting from general model demonstrations toward industry datasets, specialized models, dedicated agents, evaluation systems, and deployment ecosystems.

This kind of policy and industry coordination is less flashy than a new frontier model release, but it matters for adoption. It determines where repeatable data-model-application loops can form first.
