Midu Launches DataQ AI Agent at WAIC 2026: Generates Full Reports from a Single Command in 6 Minutes
Midu unveiled DataQ, a data analysis and insight AI agent, at WAIC 2026 in Shanghai. The system can automatically complete the entire workflow from data ingestion to report delivery in just six minutes from a single natural language instruction, featuring eight specialized expert agents for business scenarios including market research and reputation management.
During the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) held in Shanghai from July 17 to 20, Chinese AI company Midu officially launched DataQ, an AI agent designed for data analysis and business insight generation. The company demonstrated how the product enables data-driven decision-making through an immersive on-site experience.
Gao Wei, Chief Analyst and Deputy Director of Midu's Research Institute, explained that DataQ's core design philosophy is simple: users only need to tell the system what they need, and the platform automatically handles data ingestion, cleaning, analysis, and report generation, delivering conclusions directly usable for business decisions.
During the live demo, Gao Wei inputted a command to generate an AI industry research report. The system activated a "market research expert" agent and produced a complete report with visualized charts within minutes, along with a Word document and data analysis tables. Company representatives said the entire process takes no more than six minutes.
DataQ comes equipped with eight expert agents covering data structuring, information briefings, data analysis, information subscriptions, reputation management, and market research. These serve high-frequency business scenarios including strategic planning, reputation oversight, market intelligence, and social governance. Midu reported that DataQ achieves a 91.6% annotation accuracy rate and improves report-writing efficiency by over 90% in real-world office environments.
On the technical side, DataQ is powered by Midu's proprietary Micang and Wenxiu vertical large language models, supported by over 100 advanced algorithms and a 10PB multimodal database that processes more than 2 billion multimodal data entries daily. A key differentiator is DataQ's ability to unify public-domain data (reputation, user, market data) with private-domain data (work orders, records) into a single analytical view, breaking down traditional data silos.
The platform supports private deployment, with all data processed within enterprise-specific secure environments and critical data never leaving the network perimeter — a crucial feature for industries like finance and legal services with stringent compliance requirements. Users can also create custom expert agents based on analytical workflows and reuse them with one click, turning analytical capabilities into enterprise-owned assets.
Serving over 50,000 institutional clients globally, Midu's DataQ launch marks another step in its strategy built on "vertical LLMs + AI agents + data flywheels." As WAIC 2026 showcases a wave of new AI agent products across the industry, DataQ's focus on the specific niche of automated data analysis could help it stand out in an increasingly crowded enterprise AI market.
Why it matters
DataQ compresses what traditionally takes hours of manual analysis into a six-minute automated pipeline, significantly lowering the barrier to data-driven decision-making for enterprises across finance, government, and other sectors.
