Music Streamer Deezer Says Over 50% of Daily Uploads Are AI-Generated

Deezer has disclosed a striking statistic about the state of AI-generated music: in June 2026, over 50% of daily uploads to the platform were AI-generated, amounting to more than 90,000 AI tracks per day.

The data point, published July 21, underscores how profoundly AI music generation tools have changed the content landscape. With services like Suno and Udio enabling anyone to produce complete songs in minutes, the floodgates have opened.

Deezer acknowledged that the sheer volume of AI-generated content is straining its moderation and recommendation systems. Unlike human-composed tracks, AI-generated music raises complex questions about quality, copyright provenance, and originality that platforms are still learning to handle.

Not all AI-generated content is being flagged or removed. Deezer is developing specialized detection technology to distinguish between AI-assisted creation and fully AI-generated works, and is formulating corresponding platform policies.

This challenge is not unique to Deezer. Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming platforms are all grappling with the same surge in AI content. Industry observers estimate that the actual share of AI-generated music on some platforms may be even higher.
