Bluesky Expands AI-Powered Attie So Anyone Can Build Websites, Games and Quizzes
At TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, Bluesky announced that its experimental Attie platform now lets people build websites, quizzes, games, polls and other interactive experiences, not just custom social feeds. CEO Toni Schneider called it social vibe coding — building things together for a community — and the results live on the same AT Protocol that powers Bluesky.

Bluesky is widening the scope of Attie, its experimental platform. At TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 on Thursday, the company announced new creation capabilities that let users build websites, quizzes, games, polls and other interactive experiences.
Attie initially offered AI-powered technology for building custom social feeds. The expansion is aimed at letting everyday users make the kind of things that previously only software developers could build.
Bluesky CEO Toni Schneider shared the news during an interview at Disrupt, saying the company is adding a feature to Attie that lets people build sites and social experiences for a group of people, and describing it as social vibe coding, or vibe coding for your community.
What users build stays inside Bluesky's ecosystem. The sites, games and experiences live on the same AT Protocol (atproto) that powers Bluesky and other decentralized social apps, and creators are connected to their atproto identity.
Attie also suggests things users might want to make based on their public Bluesky profiles, and builders can bring their own AI model or use open-weight options.
Bluesky's pitch is distribution. COO Rose Wang said that everybody is building but that the big question is who is using the thing you are building, because the industry has not solved the distribution problem, adding that Attie comes with Bluesky's reach so it does not stand alone.
That network counts 47 million registered users, though TechCrunch notes engagement has declined as some early testers returned to X. Attie sits inside Bluesky's broader effort to reinvigorate activity by focusing on developers and communities.
Separately, Bluesky said private data support on the protocol — which Schneider called developers' biggest request — is in alpha testing, with a rollout planned by the end of the year.
Why it matters
By pairing AI creation tools with an existing social graph, Bluesky is betting that community-scale vibe coding can drive engagement beyond the core feed — a test of whether distribution, not model capability, is the real differentiator.
