BotGauge launches AI agent red-teaming platform with 200+ attack strategies
BotGauge AI has launched an AI agent red-teaming platform that puts attacking, tracing, evaluating and governing agents into a single system spanning development through production. It ships with more than 200 adversarial and real-world attack strategies and connects to OpenAI, LangChain, CrewAI and other stacks through a lightweight SDK.
BotGauge AI has launched an AI agent red-teaming platform that puts attacking, tracing, evaluating and governing agents into a single system spanning development through production. VMblog published the announcement on October 28.
The pitch rests on an attack library: more than 200 adversarial and real-world red-teaming strategies covering prompt injection, policy bypass, tool misuse and multi-turn manipulation, with support for custom strategies and business-specific attack scenarios.
When an attack surfaces a failure, the platform traces the exact prompts, tool calls, context and execution path behind it, then turns the finding into an evaluation that runs on every future release. The stated aim is to stop a team from shipping the same failure twice.
The launch is split into three capabilities. Red-teaming covers single- and multi-turn attack strategies; tracing gives visibility into prompts, model responses, context, tool calls and execution paths; evaluations use LLM-based evaluators to measure goal completion, accuracy and policy adherence, so behaviour can be tracked across releases.
Co-founder and CEO Pramin Pradeep frames the problem in the announcement: agents do not fail the way traditional software fails, and a small change to a model, prompt or tool can send an agent down a path no one anticipated. Most teams, he said, find these failures after they ship.
Integration is through a lightweight SDK, with support for OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI and AutoGen. The platform is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports SSO/SAML and fine-grained access control.
The timing reflects a broader shift. Enterprises are putting agents into decision and execution paths while traditional software testing struggles to keep up with these systems, and real-world incidents have shown how quickly a small vulnerability becomes a security problem. Red-teaming plus regression evaluation is turning into a routine gate before an agent reaches production.
The open question is whether the loop holds. Turning every finding into a regression evaluation means the test asset compounds with each release, which matters most for teams mixing several agent frameworks. Worth watching: how often the attack library is updated, how deeply it connects to existing observability stacks, and whether third parties can independently check its evaluation results.
Why it matters
Turning red-team findings into cross-release regression evaluations builds a durable test asset for agents, which would shift the safety bar from one-off penetration tests to continuous evaluation.
