MerchantFloor launches a Shopify product-listing agent that builds a listing in five minutes
MerchantFloor has launched Product Listing Agent, which turns a product photo and a few notes into a publishable Shopify listing in under five minutes. The agent generates product imagery plus descriptions, SEO fields and FAQs, then pushes everything into the merchant's Shopify admin after review.

MerchantFloor announced Product Listing Agent on November 5, an AI tool for small Shopify stores: a merchant uploads a product photo, adds a few notes, and the agent produces a publishable listing in under five minutes.
According to the company, the agent does more than write copy. It generates white-background product images along with lifestyle and model shots, and it writes the product description, SEO title, meta description, FAQs and image alt text.
The workflow matters as much as the output. After the merchant reviews and edits the results in the interface, everything is written directly into their Shopify admin, with no files to download and re-upload. Removing that round trip is a large part of how the whole job fits into five minutes.
The technical approach is notable: rather than sending every task to one general-purpose model, MerchantFloor routes each job to the model best suited to it, using prompts tuned for ecommerce. The company's example is jewellery, where gemstone counts, stone shapes and chain details are easy for general image tools to get wrong.
On pricing, new users get 25 free credits, enough for five complete listings, and free-tier images carry a watermark. Paid credit packs start at $20, or roughly $1 per listing. The tool runs at merchantfloor.com and is also listed in the Shopify App Store.
The timing targets Black Friday. Merchants need new products live before the promotional season, and getting a listing ready involves far more than a photo and a price: it needs professional imagery and copy written for search and for AI-powered discovery. Founder Ash Moosa said a single listing took him 60 to 90 minutes of photography, editing, writing and uploading when he ran Outfit Additions, and that merchants now also have to optimise for ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
Product Listing Agent sits inside MerchantFloor's broader suite of ecommerce tools, which also includes standalone apps for AI product photography, product descriptions, social captions and blog creation. Its pitch is straightforward: give small merchants without a content team a production line for roughly the price of a single freelance copywriting gig.
What to watch is consistency of output. Multi-model routing can improve detail fidelity, but whether the images and copy hold up under platform review and actually convert still depends on merchant testing; in a crowded low-cost Shopify app market, differentiation will come down to image quality and post-launch performance data.
Why it matters
By chaining product photography, copywriting, SEO and admin upload into one automated line, the tool attacks the time cost of launching new products, which is exactly where small merchants lose hours. It is also a textbook agent deployment: not general intelligence, but one concrete, repetitive, priceable workflow.
