HIVE Signs LOI to Deploy Up to 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs in Boden, Sweden

HIVE Digital Technologies has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with a data center facility in Boden, Sweden, to deploy up to 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs at the site.

Originally known as a cryptocurrency mining operator, HIVE has been pivoting heavily into AI infrastructure in recent years. The Boden deployment represents a significant push to bring high-density GPU compute capacity to the Nordic region. Boden has become an increasingly attractive location for data centers due to its abundant renewable energy and stable power grid.

According to MEXC, the LOI marks another step in HIVE's European expansion of compute capacity. With up to 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs, the facility would be capable of substantial AI training and inference workloads.

The deal reflects the broader industry trend of legacy compute providers pivoting toward AI infrastructure, while underscoring the Nordic region's strategic importance as a hub for green AI compute.
