China Unicom Unveils Upgraded Xingluo Compute Platform and Jingyuan Token Service

At the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, China Unicom released an upgraded Xingluo advanced computing-power scheduling platform and a new Jingyuan Token service platform in Beijing. China Unicom used its slot at the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services to release two AI infrastructure results at Beijing's Shougang Park: an upgraded version of its Xingluo advanced computing-power scheduling platform and a new Jingyuan Token service platform, as reported by Science and Technology Daily.

The Xingluo upgrade is built on the six-compute collaboration architecture introduced with Unicom Cloud 8.0. The company says a dual-engine design connects computing-power pooling with token scheduling, aiming to lift the efficiency of domestic chips and support mixed training and inference across heterogeneous clusters in different regions.

The problems it targets are concrete and familiar to anyone running large models in China: fragmented compute islands, slow adaptation of domestic models to available hardware, and insufficient inference efficiency. The pitch is less about adding raw capacity than about making existing, scattered capacity genuinely usable.

Jingyuan addresses the gap between being able to call a model and running it at production scale. The platform is organized around four pain points — quality, cost, service and security — and links compute, tokens and agents into a single end-to-end service chain, which Unicom says lowers the barrier for enterprises adopting large models.

What ties the two announcements together is the treatment of tokens as an infrastructure resource that must be governed and scheduled. As agents take on more real work, call volumes and token consumption grow quickly, turning cost control, latency and quota management into engineering problems rather than simple procurement decisions.

Unicom Cloud 8.0 is also positioned as a trusted token infrastructure built on the same six-compute collaboration idea, emphasizing security, efficiency, low carbon and trustworthiness. That framing places token supply on the same layer as the compute base, signaling that the carrier wants to sit directly on the path every model call must travel.

Unicom says it will keep leaning on its cloud-network integration to connect compute, models, tokens and agents, and to work with industry partners on digital transformation. That places the carrier further up the AI stack, beyond selling bandwidth and cloud capacity toward the middle of the service chain.

The value of such platforms will ultimately be judged on measurable results: the real efficiency of cross-region heterogeneous training, how quickly domestic models can be adapted, and the unit cost and stability of token services. The launch supplies an architecture and a set of goals; production data from actual customers is what will confirm them.

For enterprises weighing large-model deployment, Unicom now offers a bundle that covers compute procurement, model calls and agent runtime in one place, and one more option to compare against rival cloud vendors. The open question is how many industry scenarios the carrier can bring onto the platform, and whether its token pricing and quality commitments hold up under sustained use.

Why it matters

The two launches show carriers moving to fold tokens and agents into the same scheduling layer as compute. If cross-region heterogeneous training and token-service metrics hold up in production, competition in China's AI infrastructure will shift from raw capacity to end-to-end service.
