NVIDIA Brings DLSS 4.5 Controls to GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming
NVIDIA has brought new DLSS 4.5 controls to GeForce NOW, giving cloud members more choice over how supported games look and perform. The company says the controls work even without the latest hardware because rendering happens on its servers, and the same update added Keen Games' Enshrouded 1.0 release to the service.

NVIDIA used its weekly GFN Thursday update on October 15 to announce that new DLSS 4.5 controls have arrived on GeForce NOW, giving members more choice over how supported games look and perform in the cloud.
The pitch is deliberately hardware-free. NVIDIA says the controls are usable even without the latest hardware, because the rendering work happens on the company's servers rather than on the member's own machine.
That is the core promise of subscription cloud gaming: graphics-technology upgrades arrive as a service update instead of a GPU purchase.
The same post also carried catalogue news. Keen Games' Enshrouded has left early access with its 1.0 release and joined the line-up of games playable on the service.
For NVIDIA, tying DLSS iterations to GeForce NOW turns part of its graphics roadmap into a recurring service story, and keeps the weekly GFN Thursday slot doing double duty as both a product channel and a storefront.
Two things are worth watching: which of the already-supported titles pick up the DLSS 4.5 controls first, and whether members running the service on older machines can see a noticeable difference in image quality or smoothness.
Why it matters
Putting the newest display technology inside a subscription service means members get image-quality and performance options without buying a new card, and it blurs the line between NVIDIA's service business and its hardware sales.
