Kingsoft Office Launches Lingxi Pro AI Agent: Processes 100K-Character Content and Delivers Editable Work Products

Kingsoft Office has officially launched Lingxi Pro (灵犀专业版), a standalone AI office agent that marks a significant product push in the AI-assisted workspace market. Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, Lingxi is designed to handle project understanding, resource coordination, and task execution, while WPS continues to manage document editing and formal workflows.

In real-world testing, Lingxi Pro successfully processed over 100,000 characters of raw meeting transcripts from five multi-hour expert discussions on embodied AI, automatically organizing them into a structured knowledge base. The agent created WPS cloud folders, distilled the scattered conversations into six major themes — including world models, VLA, robot reinforcement learning, and the data bottleneck — and highlighted consensus points and disagreements for quick reference.

Beyond knowledge organization, Lingxi demonstrated full workflow capabilities: generating an 8-slide PPT from the knowledge base with speaker notes, and updating Excel spreadsheets with formula-linked recalculations when underlying data changed. When a user modified a single data point, the agent traced all affected metrics, charts, and textual conclusions across the workbook and adjusted them accordingly.

The key differentiator is Lingxi's "work memory" system. It maintains persistent project-level context across sessions, distinguishing between confirmed requirements, in-progress experiments, and rejected approaches. Users can review, calibrate, or delete specific memories, and the feature can be disabled entirely. This design addresses a fundamental problem: real work rarely completes in a single conversation, yet most AI assistants lack cross-session project memory.

Kingsoft positions Lingxi around two core values: "understanding you" and "serious delivery." The former means grasping where work comes from, what stage it's at, and which historical context still matters. The latter means every generated file remains editable — PPT text can be modified, Excel formulas stay intact, and document revisions leave audit trails — areas where many AI generation tools fall short.
