openJiuwen unveils enterprise distributed swarm architecture for AI agents, now live at China Postal Savings Bank

AI agents have crept into daily work, but only a few pass pilot verification and truly enter production systems.

openJiuwen, the open-source AI agent platform jointly built by Huawei's 2012 Labs, Huawei Cloud, terminal and computing teams, has released an enterprise-grade distributed swarm architecture that extends JiuwenSwarm capabilities to enterprise distributed clusters.

The architecture carries openJiuwen's unique compute-affinity design, which is compatible with Ascend and Kunpeng compute infrastructure to cut scaling costs and improve runtime efficiency.

China Postal Savings Bank has built a financial swarm agent platform on the architecture and deployed it to its production environment. It is the first successful enterprise production deployment of a distributed swarm architecture.

The report notes that scaling enterprise agents requires crossing four thresholds: scale, since single-machine compute limits concurrent tasks and long-running workloads; cost, since per-business deployment wastes resources and duplicates construction; management, since permissions, configuration and audit trails need unified standards; and security, since highly regulated industries demand strict identity, data isolation and sensitive-information protection.

The architecture spans access, framework, distributed runtime and system service layers, covering the full chain from user and admin entry, gateways and core engines, to distributed scheduling, secure sandboxes and storage.

Compute affinity keeps context and KV Cache aligned during agent runs, reducing cache invalidation in long-running sessions, while unified scheduling of general and AI compute with dynamic priority cuts latency, raises throughput and saves tokens.

In deployment, users and admins enter through the JiuwenSwarm Gateway, which connects to existing enterprise identity systems; agent instances run as per-person containers or department-level shared clusters, with skills and tools executed in an isolated sandbox pool and accessible via API to existing business services and self-built SkillHubs.

At Postal Savings Bank, the platform integrated the bank's existing SSO, SkillHub and legacy systems without changing original permission boundaries, and is now fully in production across three scenario categories. openJiuwen is fully open source on GitHub and AtomGit.
