The research team noted that while AI has shown advantages in handling complex multi-constraint scheduling problems for telescopes, its outputs often suffer from inconsistent data references, reasoning errors, and non-executable decisions, limiting its use in high-reliability observation tasks.

To address this, the researchers proposed a multi-level validation and traceable reasoning framework that performs systematic reliability checks on AI-generated scheduling decisions.
